His Dark Materials Series 2 is all about its characters stepping through portals and travelling through the multiverse. So, to get people excited about the new series we allowed fans to step into these new worlds through mobile AR and 3D art.
On AR, we launched a Snapchat portal that allowed fans to step inside the show’s new world of Cittigazze, where they encountered soul-eating Spectres and could discover hidden Easter eggs about the upcoming series.
We then created a 3D art installation with artist Cubloliquido, painting a portal on the iconic streets of Oxford where the series is set.
And to take it one step further, we even took over our BBC idents, cutting portals to new worlds yep—in our own adverts.
