Each year during The Apprentice UK, the nation likes to brag that they could’ve done better than the candidates on every task. Finally, we decided to give them the chance to prove it with the most nonsensical internship ever living entirely on Instagram Stories.
Spanning 12 weeks and over 70 Stories, The Instapprenticeship lived in BBC One’s Instagram and reached a weekly audience of nearly half a million. The Stories launched in real time with the show, connecting linear TV to a younger audience on social.
Not only was The Instapprenticeship the first internship living on Insta, but it used the press-and-hold and tap-for-next functionality to gamify the medium in a whole new way.
