Poopy Pop Shop

When I lived in the heart of Silicon Valley, it meant the majority of my conversations with strangers tended to go something like this: "So I started this app that does blah blah blah," or "I invented this robot that trains your cat while you're not at home."

And, while these innovations were often pretty cool, I couldn't help but wonder: are all of these products and services actually filling a real societal need, or are we now creating stuff just because we can?

My creative partner and I decided to poke fun at this trend by creating a fake startup called Poopy Pop Shop where we invented ridiculous products that do nothing for your life (but we think people would secretly want.) Each week, we would post new products from our "top secret headquarters" in Silicon Valley—pretending of course, they were 100% real.
